Bossingly Bossing Sausage & Rice

🔥 Bossingly Bossing Sausage & Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb smoked sausage (beef, pork, or chicken), sliced into coins

  • 1 ½ cups long grain rice (not instant) 

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 1 small bell pepper, diced

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

  • 2–3 tsp Bossingly Bossing All-Purpose Seasoning

  • 3 cups chicken broth

  • Optional: 1 tsp paprika for color

  • Optional: 1 cup frozen peas, corn, or mixed veggies

  • Fresh green onion for garnish


Instructions:

  1. Brown the Sausage

    • Heat avocado oil in a large pan or skillet on medium-high.

    • Add sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides.

    • Remove sausage and set aside.

  2. Sauté Veggies

    • In the same pan, add onion, bell pepper, and garlic.

    • Sauté 2–3 minutes until softened.

    • Add Bossingly Bossing seasoning and stir to coat.

  3. Toast the Rice

    • Add the uncooked rice into the pan with the vegetables.

    • Stir for 1–2 minutes (this adds flavor and keeps rice fluffy).

  4. Simmer

    • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a light boil.

    • Add sausage back into the pan.

    • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 18–22 minutes until rice is tender.

  5. Finish & Serve

    • Stir in peas or corn if using.

    • Let sit covered 5 minutes to steam.

    • Garnish with chopped green onion.


Serving Notes

🔥 FLAVOR TIP: Finish with a light sprinkle of Bossingly Bossing on top before serving.
🥣 Serve with: sautéed cabbage, simple salad, roasted broccoli, or cornbread.
